FAQ
- Does ApexLog replace RaceChrono?
- No. ApexLog is an archive layer on top of RaceChrono, not a replacement. Use RaceChrono to record and analyze sessions; use ApexLog to keep the long-term history.
- What does the import include today?
- Track day, sessions, lap times, best lap per session, track mileage, and a public share link. Setup notes and consumables you add manually after import.
- Does ApexLog support RaceBox?
- Yes. RaceBox CSV is supported today. See RaceBox Import for details on what gets imported.
- What about Harry's LapTimer / TrackAddict / MyChron?
- These formats are on the roadmap. Sample files are welcome — send them to [email protected] to help us prioritize.
- Is it free?
- Yes, fully free during beta. See pricing for future plans.
- How to view RaceChrono sessions on PC or Windows?
- RaceChrono is a mobile-only app, but you can view all your sessions in a browser on any computer — Windows, Mac, or Linux. Export your session as a .rcz or CSV v3 file from the RaceChrono app, then upload it to ApexLog. Your sessions, laps, PBs and track map are immediately accessible from any browser, no app install needed.
- How to export RaceChrono history?
- To export a single session: open it in RaceChrono → tap Share → Export as .rcz. To export a full backup of all your data: go to RaceChrono Settings → Backup → Export. The resulting .rcz file can contain multiple track days. Upload it to ApexLog and your entire history is rebuilt automatically — sessions grouped by date and track, with lap times and PBs attached.
- Can I use ApexLog as a RaceChrono logbook across multiple track days?
- Yes — that's exactly what ApexLog is built for. One .rcz backup can contain years of track days; ApexLog splits it into individual events, groups sessions by date and track, and links your lap times to each session. You end up with a full-season logbook: cars, tracks, setups, PB progression and mileage — all from the data RaceChrono already recorded.
